Hawkins Outfitters specializes in the pursuit of trout, steelhead, salmon, smallmouth and carp with fly tackle. We practice strictly catch and release fishing on the Manistee, Pere Marquette, Muskegon and Ausable rivers in northern lower Michigan. In addition we fish the Great Lakes inshore areas (including Grand Traverse Bay), smaller lesser known streams and rivers, and can provide private fishing in the fall for salmon and steelhead.
My guides and I believe in controlling every aspect of your guided fishing trip. Our vehicles, boats and tackle are all meticulously maintained and of the highest quality. Our lunches are prepared streamside and are excellent. Most of us are FFF Certified Fly Casting Instructors and some are US Coast Guard Captains. We are patient teachers and knowledgeable guides.
