Hawkins Outfitters, in conjunction with Andes Outfitters has created a joint venture offering our clients the very finest fly fishing in Patagonia. After extensive research Hawkins Outfitters is teaming with Andes Outfitters to offer a unique variety of experiences to fulfill any angler’s dreams. Martin Carranza, managing partner for Andes Outfitters has the very best combination of a fixed lodge and a luxury camping operation in Patagonia. Martin has been a professional guide in Patagonia for 23 years. His father was at the forefront of the Patagonia fly fishing movement. Martin and his partners have spared no expense in creating Chime Lodge and Patagonia Floats. A 2012 hightlight video can be seen below.

The equipment, people and fishing knowledge is unsurpassed and I believe they will be the perfect partner for Hawkins Outfitters.

Having fished northern Patagonia very hard for the last three years I have come to the conclusion that an angler needs to experience many different types of water, small rivers, big rivers and lakes to truly get a feel for the fantastic fishing offered in northern Patagonia.

Some of our fishing venues are.....

Rio Malleo. A smaller river with many different types of water including, pocket, riffle, pools and runs. This river is wade fished, has great dry fly fishing and can procude huge numbers of fish to hand. Rainbows and browns to twenty inches.

Rio Chimhuin. Right out the door of the lodge, the Chimehuin is the birthplace of Patagonia fly fishing. Justly famous, this river can have great hatches, super streamer fishing and many different water types.

Rio Collon Cora. Is a big sprawling river that is famous for the worm and minnow hatches along with fabulous streamer and dry fly fishing with large attractors and a dropper. The Collon Cora, along with many of the rivers, we fish lend themselves to floating and wading. It also has a great three day float trip that accesses water you can only get to by camping.

Rio Alumene. A bigger river that lends itself to both day trips and overnight floats. It can produce some fantastic dry fly and streamer fishing.

Lago Tromen. An absolutely fabulous lake fishery with browns, rainbows and brook trout. It produces large trout on both streamer and dries.

We have a total of nine spots at any given time, you may book a minimum of 6 days fishing and add increments of three days. Trips of 9 days must include three days of camping.
